We accept applications year round. If you are a great teacher, we want to hear from you. We only accept applications on our website!

WHY WORK AT WORK-LIFE SPANISH

  • A teaching job that actually supports you.Set your own schedule

Teach online from anywhere you are eligible to work, or in person at our Falls Church studio. You tell us your availability and we build around it.

  • A curriculum you do not have to build

We designed our own CEFR-aligned curriculum in house. You walk into class with materials and a plan, so your energy goes into teaching, not prep.

  • Real students, real community

Our learners are committed adults and kids who show up to grow, not an app. You join a team of teachers who support each other and learn together.

  • Growth, not just a gig

We hire for values and train for skill. You get real onboarding, ongoing development, clear feedback, competitive pay, and bonuses for student retention.

THE ROLE

What you would do

  • Teach communicative, student-led Spanish to adults and kids, one-on-one and in small groups, online or in person.
  • Deliver our lesson plans and materials, and adapt them for private students based on their goals.
  • Keep students supported between classes with clear follow-ups, and help them find their next step.
  • Track attendance and keep your classes organized, on time, and welcoming.

THE FIT

What we look for

  • Native or near-native Spanish, fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher, with teaching experience with adults and/or children.
  • Strong command of Spanish grammar and the communicative, student-led method.
  • A real passion for the language and for Spanish and Latin American culture.
  • Alignment with our mission and values. We hire for values first.

For in-person roles, you will need work authorization in the US and a clean background check. Curriculum development experience and teaching certificates are a plus.

4 Teaching interview

A friendly deep dive on Spanish grammar and how you teach it.

5 Demo class

6 Welcome

If it is a fit, we onboard you and get you teaching.
