Job description

This position is in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OIT). OIT is responsible for implementation of information technologies that are aligned with business strategies of the VA, from Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veteran Benefits Administration (VBA), National Cemetery Administration (NCA) and Corporate offices.Qualifications:To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/31/2026.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
  • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-13 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Experience in management of IT software products/projects including modernization of complex IT software products in both cloud and on-premise environments utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies including acquisition, solutioning, development, modification, modernization, integration, enhancement, deployment, sustainment, and product decommissioning, AND
  • Selective Placement Factor: At least one current industry standard program/project management certification such as PMP, FAC P/PM, or DAWIA.
