Position: IT Operations Support

Position Location: Peoria Service Center, 507 E. Armstrong Ave., Peoria, IL 61603

Position Type: Part-Time, 10 hours per week

We are looking for an Information Technology (IT) Operations Support team member to provide hands-on technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, software, and day-to-day IT operations. This role supports device setup and provisioning, responds to help desk requests, assists employees with technical troubleshooting, and helps ensure our technology systems operate efficiently across our service locations. Compensation:

Compensation for this position falls within the range of $15-$17 per hour. The final offer will consider several individualized factors, including relevant experience, scope and responsibilities of the role, qualifications and credentials, talent availability and specialization, and organizational needs. This range is subject to change in the future.


Position Objective: Information Technology (IT) Operations Support is responsible for providing end-user technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and/or software. The IT Operations Support will assist the IT department by supporting device provisioning, managing help desk tickets, and providing end-user training.

Job Functions

  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests in a timely, polite, and professional manner.
  • Respond to incident tickets in person or via remote access.
  • Document and escalate incident tickets as necessary.
  • Assist with processes for new hires.
  • Perform physical installations of laptops, desktops, peripherals, and telecom devices.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and enrollment in a two- or four-year degree program in a relevant field, preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in IT customer service, preferably using a ticketing system.

Competency Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, Office 365, and software (word processing, data management, spreadsheets, and presentations).
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including networking, security, browser troubleshooting, and hardware components.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Fast, accurate data entry and strong multitasking abilities.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities.

  • Must have visual ability sufficient to read and complete written correspondence, reports, etc., and computer screen information.
  • Regular use of hands to grasp, handle, or feel.
  • Regular standing, walking, sitting, climbing, grabbing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and reaching.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate and repair routine maintenance equipment and to drive company-owned motor vehicles to all Easterseals centers and service sites within a 100-mile radius, as needed.

Work Environment

  • Routinely works in office environments with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature.
  • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
