Job description

Title: IT Operations Manager

Location: Flint, MI

Duration: Full Time

Responsibilities

  •  Lead and evolve the organization’s IT operations and roadmap
  • Oversee and optimize our Microsoft 365 environment (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID)
  • Manage and mentor IT staff, building a strong, scalable team
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and security standards
  • Champion cybersecurity best practices (MFA, endpoint protection, monitoring)
  • Manage vendor relationships (internet, telecom, software providers)
  • Oversee onboarding/offboarding and access management processes
  • Monitor system performance, ensuring up time, reliability, and efficiency
  • Own the IT budget, forecasting, and cost optimization efforts
  • Lead technology projects and continuous system improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
  • Maintain clear documentation of systems and processes
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Communicating IT initiatives and performance to executive leadership
  • Foster a positive, service-first IT culture across the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations or systems administration
