Job description

PURPOSE
The IT Project Manager provides leadership and support to the Global IT team by working closely with cross-functional business leads, technical teams, vendor partners, and peers to manage, plan, document, implement, and support internal and global initiatives. This role will manage all aspects of medium to complex global projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Plan and manage project strategy, tasks, teams, and resources
  • Follow best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning, execution, ongoing milestone & deliverable tracking, risk assessment & mitigation, communication, and key performance metrics
  • Adhere to project governance & oversight and help drive accountability to achieve project milestones and overall project outcomes
  • Identify and assess project risks, define mitigation strategies, and manage change with the stakeholder requirements to deliver results on-time and within budget
  • Communicate project status and escalate issues as appropriate. Help ensure tradeoffs and priorities are well-understood by key stakeholders during decision making
  • Conduct post project follow-ups to identify successful & unsuccessful project elements, and opportunities for improvement
  • Determine and manage stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Help determine root cause of project impediments and develop corrective action plans
  • All other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Off-hour meetings and work to accommodate global time zones
  • Carry mobile phone during work and off-hours
  • Collaborative team environment in a shared workspace
  • General office, computer room, warehouse, and factory areas
  • Infrequent off-hours work and local/international travel as required
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Minimum lifting requirements of 15 pounds

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent verifiable education/work experience
  • 5+ years of success in a comparable role
  • Project Management certification preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and interest in accuracy
  • Ability to travel abroad
