What We Are Looking For:


This position will be within a certain area of the IT team from Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Infrastructure, or Business Analytics. As a broader part of the IT department, this position will have the ability to gain exposure to other functions and high impact projects. This role is required to be onsite 3 days a week at our Durham, NC headquarters.


What You Will Do:


Software Engineering Duties

  • Assist in Software Development
    • Write test, and debug code for internal tools or applications.
    • Collaborate with engineers on feature development and bug fixes.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum Meetings
    • Join sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives to understand the software development lifecycle.
  • Code Review & Documentation
    • Review pull requests and provide feedback under guidance.
    • Maintain clean, commented, and documented code for assigned tasks.

Business Analytics Duties

  • Gather and Analyze Business Requirements
    • Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Dashboard & Report Creation
    • Build and update dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to support business decision-making.
  • Process Improvement Support
    • Analyze workflows and identify inefficiencies or opportunities for automation.
  • Competitor & Market Research
    • Perform benchmarking studies and present findings related to product performance or business strategy.

Data Analytics Duties

  • Data Visualization
    • Create visual representations of data trends and insights using tools like Python (Matplotlib, Seaborn), R, or visualization platforms.

General IT Internship Duties

  • Cross-Team Collaboration
    • Wor closely with software developers, analysts, and project managers across departments.
