The Analyst, IT Governance is responsible for developing and maintaining IT policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards in alignment with ITIL best practices. This role will work directly with application developers, business users, internal IT, and third-party vendors to improve performance, processes, and the overall health of the data. This role will participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the systems are running optimal and processes are consistent with company goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
How do I make an impact on my team?
  • Ensure all environments are managed and maintained to meet service level agreements.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of IT controls to ensure they adequately mitigate risks and comply with requirements. This includes controls related to access management, change management, incident response and service management.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of IT governance processes and controls to provide recommendations to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to promptly resolve reoccurring problems with technical and business leads.
  • Report barriers to resolution of Incidents, Service Requests, Problem Management, Change Management by identifying and addressing underlying problems with technical and business leads.
  • Participate in incident response activities by coordinating with relevant stakeholders and holding corrective actions reviews to prevent future occurrences.
  • Participating in the change management process by assessing the impact of proposed changes on IT governance policies, procedures and controls ensuring that changes are implemented in a controlled manner.
  • Develop, maintain, lead and communicate Major Incident Management processes, and delivery.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in the field of computer science or equivalent work experience required.
  • ITIL Certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years technical experience in the field of information technology or computer science.
  • Experience leading a team of analysts managing an Enterprise Service Suite.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven techniques in Business Process Mapping.
  • Experience working with business subject matter experts eliciting process details and work instructions.
  • Demonstrable experience in requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework.
  • Knowledge of Agile framework.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
  • The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
