Job description

Redpanda is the first runtime and control plane for agent-data interaction - a unified platform that combines streaming, SQL analytics, and intelligent connectivity with the governance layer enterprise AI agents need in production.
Built on infrastructure already trusted by Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing startups, Redpanda enforces governance entirely outside the agent's data path, controlling what agents see, limiting what they do, and capturing a tamper-proof record of everything they touch, so organizations never have to choose between innovation and control.
About the Role:
Redpanda is looking for a people-oriented third Information Technology Engineer, with an emphasis on the "Engineer". We believe that an engineering and AI-forward approach is a benefit to most technical challenges and we're looking to hire someone that feels the same. While strong technical skills are highly valuable, being able to take those skills and turn them into automated processes is where we see the difference between good and great. Join our Redpanda IT team and help us scale our operations globally.
You Will:
  • Drive frontline support - triage and resolve remote end-user issues
  • Support security and compliance efforts by owning detection and response across our security stack, including CrowdStrike, Bitdefender, Kolide, Okta, 1Password, and Abnormal
  • Own new hire onboarding and hardware asset lifecycles
  • Manage Zoom Room AV systems and printer infrastructure across office locations
  • Support MDM operations, rollouts, and migrations across JumpCloud, Iru/Kandji, InTune, and Landscape
  • Maintain and troubleshoot collaboration and AI tools including Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace, O365/Teams, Atlassian, Claude, and ChatGPT
  • Share responsibility with the IT team for offboarding, asset management and device deployment
  • Explore and opportunistically leverage AI to improve operations, workforce IT experiences, and to scale up your own impact
  • Create documentation/content for end-user guidance
  • Organize and document your work for coordination within the IT team

You Have:
  • 2-4+ years of experience in a systems administrator or IT engineer role
  • Prior experience in an IT specialist, helpdesk, or desktop support role
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of MDM platforms - Kandji, InTune, or JumpCloud preferred
  • Experience with identity and access management, especially Okta
  • Experience working a helpdesk queue and owning tickets end-to-end
  • Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and managing collaboration tools including Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting macOS, Windows, and Linux devices - Ubuntu and Fedora preferred
  • Experience configuring and monitoring endpoint security tools
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fully distributed environment, including support for onboarding, offboarding, and asset management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Please highlight if applicable to you:
  • Experience writing scripts to automate IT processes (Python, Bash/Zsh, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Experience with Linux device management
  • Experience with a variety of MDM's
  • Experience with CrowdStrike Falcon or similar EDR platforms
  • Familiarity with Kolide or other device trust and compliance tools
  • Exposure to GRC or compliance programs (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • Experience supporting a distributed or remote-first workforce
  • Experience working in public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Stays informed on developments in AI and is enthusiastic about adopting new technologies

U.S. base salary range for this role is $98,000-$115,000.Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. We strive to consider each candidate's job-related skills, location, experience, relevant education or training to determine individual base salary.
