Job description

Quality Technician (Gage Calibration)
Deceuninck North America is seeking a Quality Technician (Gage Calibration) for its Monroe, OH facility. In this role, the quality technician's responsibilities include assuring that gauges are maintained in the calibration system. Responsible for establishing and maintaining the computer database. Recommends and/ or performs corrective action when calibration results indicate an out-of-tolerance condition and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. This is an hourly position working day-shift hours. Well qualified applicants may be considered by submitting their resume for review. This position reports to the Quality Supervisor.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Provides Maintain detailed documentation of all calibration activities, equipment histories, and certification records.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on measurement equipment and coordinate repairs when necessary.
  • Monitor calibration schedules and ensure timely completion of required calibrations.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Support quality audits by providing calibration records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to address measurement-related concerns.
  • Provide technical support to production teams regarding measurement systems.
  • Troubleshoot measurement issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Train operators on proper measurement techniques and procedures.
  • Generate and distribute Gage R&R reports to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • 1 - 3 years of prior experience as a gauge technician or calibration technician, with knowledge of relevant industry standards
  • Strong understanding of precision measurement tools to include calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Proficiency in using calibration equipment.
  • Proficiency in using various measurement instruments and calibration equipment
  • Strong understanding of measurement principles and calibration procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Experience with calibration management software preferred
  • Knowledge of measurement systems analysis and Gage R&R methodologies
  • Familiarity with statistical process control concepts
  • Experience with quality management systems and standards (ISO, IATF, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be registered / authorized to work in the US without sponsorship at any time during employment.

Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in quality, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
