Job description

Quality Lab Technician – All Levels

Job Summary

Quality Lab Technicians perform daily Quality Control tasks for production at Nifco and assist in the development of part maturity. Technicians conduct quantitative measurements using laboratory devices and instruments to determine compliance with Nifco Quality Standards.

Technician Levels

  • Entry Level: Apprenticeship; little to no experience.
  • Level 1: Performs Level I functions; enters structured training plan.
  • Level 2: Performs Level II functions; meets training plan goals.
  • Level 3: Performs Level III functions; fully trained.

Essential Functions

  • Perform duties outlined in Lab Technician Job Matrix
  • Complete training plans and cross-training
  • Maintain lab cleanliness (2S)
  • Assist lab operations

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience / Skills

  • TS-16949 knowledge
  • Dimensional measurement experience (CMM, comparator)
  • Use of handheld gauges
  • Read blueprints
  • Metric and English systems
