General Dynamics Mission Systems seeks an Operations Analyst / Specialist to develop digital wargames, mission analyses, and model-based systems-  engineering artifacts supporting U.S. defense customers. This hands-on role emphasizes AFSIM, Cameo/MagicDraw, MBSE, and AI-enabled operational analysis.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute digital wargames, tabletop exercises, operational vignettes, and campaign-level analyses.
- Develop and analyze AFSIM scenarios assessing force employment, autonomous platforms, sensors, survivability, and mission outcomes.
- Build mission architectures, operational workflows, requirements models, and traceability artifacts using Cameo, MagicDraw, SysML, and MBSE.
- Incorporate AI, multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning, and LLM-enabled tools into wargaming and mission-analysis workflows.
- Translate sponsor questions into credible models, experiments, findings, and recommendations.
- Brief government sponsors and senior leadership on analytical results, assumptions, and decision implications.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in operational analysis, defense modeling and simulation, systems engineering, mission engineering, or wargaming.
- Exposure and some experience with  AFSIM and Python.
- Working experience with Cameo or MagicDraw, SysML,and.or  MBSE related modeling, and requirements traceability.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and operational audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with joint, maritime, ISR, autonomy, unmanned systems, or command-and-control missions.
- Experience with reinforcement learning, multi-agent AI, LLM evaluation, or digital decision-support tools.
- ROS 2, Isaac Sim, NVIDIA Omniverse, Docker, Git, and Linux experience.
- Experience supporting Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, OSD, combatant command, or intelligence-community customers.
- Active TS/SCI or eligibility to obtain it.
Target salary range: USD $106,477.00/Yr. - USD $115,212.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
