Job Title: Operations Consultant
Location: Currently remote but ultimately in New York.
Duration: 6 contract to potential hire
This person will likely be called a loan closer, or in load trade operations. this is not a front office role.
Must have experience in Bank Debt and Par/Distressed Loans rather than in the mortgage arena. Paralegal experience
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced Loan Closer to join its Operations Administration Department on a temporary-to-permanent basis. Reporting to the department Director, this person will join a highly collaborative and cross-trained team responsible for critical support functions. In addition to strong loan closing and technical skills, the ideal candidate will be comfortable liaising between in-house counsel and external counsel on a variety of legal documents related to closings as well as confidentiality agreements. The successful candidate will have experience in all areas of closing loans (par and distressed) and bankruptcy claims and be comfortable interacting with different audiences including Clients, Traders, Sales, Third-Party Closers, Legal & Compliance as examples.
Specific Responsibilities Include
  • Reporting to the Director of Operations Administration Department (OAD)
  • Drafting LSTA / LMA confidentiality agreements and schedules
  • Working closely with the Trading and Sales desks
  • Acting as point person with third-party loan closing staff
  • Processing of loan settlement funding wires
  • Researching / resolving reconciliation breaks for loans and bankruptcy claims settlements
  • Acting as a deal-sourcing data room administrator [IPREO Debt Domain]
  • Other support functions as directed by manager
Skills & Experience Required
  • College degree required
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in hands-on loan closing
  • Advanced knowledge in both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
  • Strong working knowledge with ClearPar platform
  • Strong working knowledge with Sentry platform
  • Experience using DUCO reconciliations platform
  • Experience using IPREO Debt Domain platform
  • Experience in drafting of and review of confidentiality agreements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
