Job description

About the Job
The data entry clerk communicates with Billing Management to discuss billing content and issues. Analyzing billing content and timely data entry into billing programs and in-house tracking is required daily. The data entry clerk reports directly to the department supervisor.
Core responsibilities for this position are as follows:
  • Communicate effectively with Management and peers.
  • Collect and examine worksheets prepared by field personnel to review with Management to determine if there are unnecessary and /or lacking charges for service rendered.
  • Prioritize, manage, and maintain billing (Create invoices per job & Change orders, etc).
  • Process bills efficiently to make daily and monthly goals.
  • Forecast jobs for clients.
  • Prepare invoice packets for clients.
  • Attend ride-alongs with Project Directors to increase knowledge which will help with the billing process.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Update clients and in-house trackers and portals.
  • The data entry clerk position requires the following:
    • Work in a team environment and as an individual.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
    • Working knowledge of Chrome & Explorer navigators.
    • Strong attention to detail and observant.
    • Outstanding time management skills.
    • Phone and email Etiquette.
    • Basic knowledge of office equipment.
    • Possession of High School Diploma or equivalent.
