Job description

PSI Pax, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a C++ Acoustic Signal Processing Programmer to support our government customer in Patuxent River, MD.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Programming in support of the Command & Control (C2) and/or Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Platforms computer systems.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have a Secret Clearance, Top Secret SCI is preferred.
  • Shall be knowledgeable in acoustic signal processing programming and mission planning processes and software.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in support of Command & Control (C2) and/or Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Platforms computer system experience to include:
    • Test and Evaluation
    • Network Protocols
    • LAN administration fundamentals
    • UNIX and Windows based operating system

Required Certification:
Within 18 months of start date, must obtain the following certification:
  • Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), or complete a vendor/platform specific certification such as:
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD)
    • Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD)
    • Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
    • Sun Certified Professional (SCP)
    • Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP)
    • CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
    • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)

Preferred Requirements:
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as: C+, C++, C#, and OpenGL
  • Discrete Representation of Signals
  • z-Transform
  • Transfer Function and Frequency Response Function
  • Discrete Fourier Transform
  • Transfer Function of Models and Wave Equations
  • Statistical Models for Acoustic Transfer
  • Deconvolution and Inverse Filters
  • Linear Equations, Inverse Filters and Signal Analysis

Education Requirements:
High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
