Job description

Inventory Analyst (manufacturing) - Richmond, VA - work onsite - 7:30am - 4:30pm.
Zing Recruiting has partnered with a top company within the Cooling and Humidification products manufacturing space to fill an Inventory Analyst role. Incumbent should be results driven, analytical and motivated by a fast-paced and growth oriented manufacturing environment.
(Pay is UP to 72k based in experience)
Qualifications Include:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business or relatable
  • 2+ years in manufacturing inventory control, manufacturing supply chain or relatable

Responsibilities Include:
  • Design, schedule, and execute cycle count programs
  • Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to minimize disruption during count activities.
  • Analyze count results, identify discrepancies, and drive timely resolution.
  • Maintain cycle count records and report key metrics appropriately
  • Lead root cause investigations for inventory variances, shortages, and overages.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with receiving, production, quality, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Document investigation findings and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track recurring issues and recommend process improvements to prevent future discrepancies.
  • Partner with the Logistics team to investigate and resolve finished goods inventory discrepancies, ensuring accurate inventory visibility and transaction integrity.
  • Monitor and report on inventory accuracy KPIs including location accuracy, item accuracy, and overall inventory health.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate inventory performance to stakeholders.
  • Support periodic physical inventory and year-end audits.
  • Ensure inventory data integrity within the ERP system; identify and correct system errors.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain team, including Logistics, to maintain accurate visibility of finished goods inventory, ensuring inventory records support shipping, customer fulfillment, and operational decision-making.
  • Support production planning activities by providing accurate inventory data and availability insights.
  • Assist in managing material replenishment to ensure on-time availability for production schedules.
  • Participate in S&OP and production planning meetings as an inventory subject matter expert.
  • Identify potential inventory shortfalls and communicate risks proactively to the planning team.
