Summary

The Cloud Operations Technical Lead reports to the Platform Services Group Manager within the Enterprise IT Infrastructure department. The technical lead provides guidance to the team designing, delivering, and supporting automated solutions for managing and deploying services within our hybrid-cloud environment. In collaboration with other technical leads, the role's focus is establishing and maintaining the toolkit for managing an enterprise scale hybrid-cloud environment and supporting the seamless integration of our CI/CD and DevOps toolkits and processes. The technical lead works closely with multiple departments and teams to enable them to run application workloads, develop software delivery processes, and manage hosted assets while enabling these departments to consume cloud-native technologies, implement best practices for those technologies, and build efficient cloud operations.
The role is responsible for developing the roadmap, providing architecture support and technical leadership for an engineering team, encouraging the adoption and use of modern tools and processes such as CI/CD and AI, maintaining and promoting best practices, and most importantly ensuring customer success.

  • Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in information technology field, Master's and four years, or combination of education and experience equal to ten years.
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise storage solutions including data backup and protection
  • Demonstrated experience managing Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms
  • Demonstrated experience managing VMware or other virtualization platforms
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise storage solutions
  • A commitment to providing stable and reliable services.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and understand new technologies.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leveraging AI to enhance IT processes and solutions
  • Experience with Terraform, Salt, Git, GitLab, SCCM, InTune, Kubernetes, Docker, Docker Swarm
  • Experience managing mixed server environments (Windows and Linux)
  • Experience managing Rubrik backup environments
  • Experience managing Unity and/or PowerMax storage environments
