If you are pursuing a career in the field of criminal justice, we may have an advancement opportunity for you.The Department of Corrections, Division of Probation and Parole is hiring for the position of AdministrativeSpecialist Senior. This position will be responsible for assisting the Justice Program Administrator withmanaging and implementing the daily functions of the Interstate Compact Offender Tracking System (ICOTS).
Responsibilities include:
  • Manage the planning and implementation of the daily functions of the Interstate Compact Parole Section.
  • Manage the actions and responses in the web-based data tracking system, the Interstate Compact OffenderTracking System.
  • Answer routine correspondence and phone calls on all Interstate Compact Parole inquiries.
  • Review and update policies relating to Interstate Compact.
  • Generate and review compliance reports for the Parole Interstate Compact Section.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS:Three years of professional, administrative, or business experience.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE:Additional education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION:Additional administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
