We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Secure Communications Systems Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in the design, development, and implementation of military radio communication systems. You will work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to challenging projects, building a strong foundation for a career in this dynamic field.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support in the design, analysis, and testing of secure radio communication systems and components, such as antennas, transceivers, and digital signal processing units.

  • Support the development and implementation of system architectures and specifications based on project requirements.

  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of hardware and software components, considering factors like performance, cost, and compliance with regulations.

  • Conduct laboratory and field testing of RF equipment, analyzing data and generating detailed reports to document findings.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to radio communication systems, including hardware, software, firmware and signal interference problems.

  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, requirements including design documents, test procedures, and user manuals.

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including senior engineers, project managers, and technicians.

  • Stay informed about industry standards, emerging technologies, and best practices in radio communications engineering.

  • Assist with the installation and configuration of radio communication systems and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering (e.g., Telecommunications Engineering).

  • 2-4 years of experience in systems engineering field

  • Solid understanding of fundamental electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, electromagnetic theory, and signal processing.

  • Solid understanding of Systems Engineering principles and practices.

  • Basic knowledge of wireless communication principles and technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi).

  • Familiarity with RF testing equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators) and simulation software (e.g., MATLAB).

  • DOD Security Clearance

Desirable skills required :

  • Experience with requirements management tools like DOORS or Jama.

  • Experience with CAD software for schematics and layouts.

  • Experience with Model-Based-Systems-Engineering (MBSE) tools.

  • Prior internship or project experience related to RF or wireless communication systems on military UAVs.

  • Basic programming skills (e.g., Python, C/C++) for automation or data analysis.

Physical requirements:

  • Ability to work primarily in an office setting but may require occasional field visits which could involve working outdoors or in various environments.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Cubic Pay Range:

$70,000.00 - $118,000.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
