Research Assistant Internship (Open to Current UT Students Only)

Hiring Department: Department of Human Development and Family Sciences

Position Open To: All Applicants

Weekly Scheduled Hours: 6

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt from FLSA

Earliest Start Date: Immediately

Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until May 31, 2027

Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS

Purpose: Project DUAL investigates how bilingual experiences affect the development of young adults. Research Assistants will help with data management and learning the administrative side of research.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing for the next wave of data collection.
  • Processing and analyzing existing data.
  • Refining bilingual study materials.
  • Testing cognitive tasks for future use.
  • Assisting with RA trainings and coordination.
  • Training scheduler (being the organizer to schedule trainings).
  • Email confirmation coordinator (prepares and sends confirmation emails).
  • Attendance tracker (manages attendance and meeting reminders).
  • Supporting essential administrative tasks that keep the project going.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be a current UT Student, all majors are welcomed.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
