Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Build Your Future at DTCC

As a Finance Intern in the Chief Financial Office organization, you will support work across areas such as Enterprise Transformation, Tax, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Treasury. Your work may support financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, tax support, transformation initiatives, treasury operations, process documentation, and business presentations, giving you practical exposure to how Finance helps DTCC manage performance, support decision-making, and deliver on business priorities.

At DTCC, interns contribute to meaningful work while learning how the financial markets operate behind the scenes. You will be part of a structured summer experience that combines team-based project work, training, feedback, mentorship, and opportunities to connect with leaders and peers.

About the Summer Internship Program

The Summer Internship Program is a 10-week experience designed to build a strong foundation for early-career talent. The program includes orientation, training, manager engagement, feedback milestones, networking, and development experiences that help students explore potential full-time career paths, including EDGE where applicable.

What you will gain

  • Hands-on work connected to real business priorities, not only observation or administrative tasks.
  • Structured orientation and training to help you understand DTCC, the industry, and your business area.
  • Manager support, mentorship, peer connection, and opportunities to build your network.
  • Development experiences focused on communication, feedback, professional skills, and career readiness.
  • Mid-point and final feedback to help you understand your strengths, development areas, and potential next steps.
  • Exposure to DTCC culture, values, and community engagement.

What you will do

Role Responsibilities

  • Support financial, business, and operational analysis by helping gather data, review trends, prepare summaries, and organize findings for Finance stakeholders.
  • Assist with reporting, forecasting, planning, tax, treasury, or transformation-related work depending on team assignment, including research, documentation, analysis, and presentation support.
  • Help prepare reports, dashboards, workpapers, process documentation, meeting materials, or leadership-ready summaries that support business decisions and clear follow-through.
  • Partner with Finance colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders to collect information, track open items, document updates, and support team deliverables.
  • Contribute ideas to improve reporting, documentation, process clarity, controls, or stakeholder experience based on what you learn during the internship.

What will help you succeed

Required

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Expected graduation date: Spring 2028
  • Minimum GPA: 3.2
  • Authorization to work permanently in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
  • Strong analytical, communication, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.

Preferred

  • Coursework, projects, prior work, internship, student organization, volunteer, or leadership experience related to the role.
  • Interest in financial services, technology, operations, risk, data, business, or the specific business area.
  • Exposure to Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, tax concepts, project management, change management, or process improvement is a plus.

What makes you successful

  • Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to ask questions.
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use feedback and adapt as you learn.
  • Collaboration, professionalism, and accountability.

Benefits and work model

  • Competitive hourly compensation.
  • Hybrid work model: 3 days in office and 2 days remote, based on team schedule.
