Junior Accountant

Location:Greater Fort Lauderdale area
Reports To:Controller
We're partnering with a growing organization to identify a Junior Accountant to support their corporate accounting function. This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their accounting career to gain hands-on exposure across GL, month-end, and financial reporting in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the general ledger and record daily financial transactions
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure account balances are accurate
  • Support accounts payable processing, invoice review, and approvals
  • Maintain and update vendor records
  • Prepare and post journal entries during month-end close
  • Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
  • Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Support fixed asset tracking, audits, and accruals
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies across accounts and transactions
  • Contribute to budgeting, resource planning, and tax-related initiatives

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 1-3 years of accounting or relevant internship experience preferred
  • Exposure to ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
