Patient Care Intern Details
Essential Job Duties:
  • Patient Care Intern (PCI) aids patients with delegated tasks for direct and indirect patient care under registered nurse supervision.
  • PCI performs assigned activities aligned with unlicensed nursing personnel functions.
  • Responsibilities encompass helping patients with daily activities, delivering basic nursing care, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • PCI interacts courteously and professionally with patients, visitors, and staff to enhance customer service.

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Associate or Baccalaureate Degree Nursing Program leading to a Registered Nurse degree.
  • Successful completion of a minimum of the first nursing clinical course.
  • Anticipated Graduation for the Nursing Program: Aug/Dec 2026 or May 2027.
  • Core Nursing Courses must have passing scores, and progression in degree completion is expected to be maintained.
  • Currently certified in Health Care Provider CPR.
  • Proficient and accountable in computer skills, particularly related to accurate charting and data entry.
  • Demonstrates ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.

If selected for this position:
  • Must have completed at least one semester of clinicals.
  • Selected and accepted candidates must be available to attend Orientation from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, followed by additional weeks of clinical orientation hours.
