Job description

We are seeking interns for our 2027 Summer Internship Program in several corporate office departments such as Construction, Maintenance, Estimating, Project Controls, Accounting, etc. The intern will work on a specific project, while learning Austin Industrial operations and processes. By collaborating with the departmental teams, interns will have the opportunity to have hands on experience, experience in the field, among exposure to many other aspects of the company. This is a paid 12 weeks full-time internship program that will start on Monday, May 17, 2027 and run through Friday, August 6, 2027. Austin Industrial’s office is in La Porte, TX, however, your intern assignment will be contingent upon your location. Our intern will also participate in various social events with fellow employee-owners and have the great opportunity to visit active project sites. Intern Duties:

  • Assignments vary based on department requirements
  • Perform analytical reviews recommending creative ideas that enhance the overall business function
  • Assist in daily activities learning different aspects of a business environment
  • Participate in a final project that combines book knowledge with real world experience leading to a complete product or process
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Education and Experience

  • Must be an active Junior or Senior college student working toward a degree in one of these fields: Construction Science, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, Accounting, etc.
  • Must possess a 3.0 GPA or higher & be able to work up to 40 hours per week
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to think analytically, present ideas professionally, and work in project teams
