Position Summary

The Senior Director of Product Marketing is a pivotal role within the Naturium marketing team. This position is responsible for the full funnel of global product marketing strategy, from building a long-term innovation roadmap through to executing go-to-market plans that drive brand growth and increase market share. It is essential this leader demonstrate key cultural practices of growth, positivity, honesty, curiosity, innovation, speed, agility and collaboration. Peer leadership is extremely important as this leader needs the collective support of the Naturium marketing, sales and product development organization to support their strategic vision.

Responsibilities
  • Product & Portfolio Strategy: concepting and developing global product strategy for entire franchise of facial skincare, body, lip and new categories
  • Product innovation: collaborate with product development to develop long-term innovation roadmap that addresses community needs and business growth targets
  • Market Research and Insights: define white space and growth opportunities grounded in consumer insights, social listening and market segmentation data. It is essential this leader be closely connected to product innovation across the market to ensure Naturium retains its innovation competitive advantage
  • Marketing claims: lead on product claim innovation with regulatory and innovation teams
  • GTM Strategy: concept, develop and deploy product GTM including product pricing, in-line placement and story-telling
    • Innovation pipeline: collaborate with product development to develop long-term innovation roadmap that addresses consumer needs, retailer objectives and business growth targets
    • Product assortment: determine and lead product strategy on assortment across all brands and retail partners
    • Market opportunity: define white space and growth opportunities grounded in consumer insights, social listening and market segmentation data
    • Pricing: recommend and align pricing strategy on all new product innovation
    • Go-to-market: produce comprehensive GTM strategies for global distribution on all key launches, working closely with brand, creative and sales teams
    • Cross-functional leadership: champion alignment across Creative, Brand, Sales, International Marketing, Planning, Product Development and R&D to guarantee flawless execution
  • Budget management: strategically manage how brand deploys its marketing investment globally
  • Product Strategy and Development: drive product strategy and guide product development team to ensure Naturium leads the market in ingredient, application and experience innovation
  • Business Management: will play a key role in supporting CMO with business-critical presentations to leadership and elf board of directors
Requirements
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in product marketing, brand marketing, innovation, or category management within beauty, skincare, personal care, or CPG industries
  • Proven experience leading global product marketing strategy and innovation pipelines for high-growth consumer brands
  • Deep expertise in skincare product marketing, including facial skincare, body care, lip care, and adjacent beauty/wellness categories
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing full-funnel go-to-market strategies that drive brand growth, market share, and retail expansion
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, competitive landscape, social listening, and white space analysis
  • Experience partnering closely with Product Development, R&D, Regulatory, Sales, Creative, and Brand teams to bring innovation to market
  • Proven ability to develop long-term innovation roadmaps grounded in consumer insights, retailer needs, and business objectives
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, including pricing strategy, assortment planning, portfolio management, and business forecasting
  • Experience leading product positioning, messaging, storytelling, and marketing claims development in partnership with regulatory teams
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple teams and levels of the organization
  • Strong executive presence with experience preparing and delivering business-critical presentations to senior leadership and board-level audiences
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and entrepreneurial environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Highly collaborative leadership style with demonstrated ability to build trust, inspire teams, and drive organizational alignment
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing marketing investments and evaluating business performance metrics
  • Passion for innovation, product development, and staying ahead of emerging trends within the beauty and skincare industry
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

The base salary range for this role is listed above.

Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.โ€™s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.

Compensation components are subject to change at the companyโ€™s discretion.
