Pay: $25.00 to $35.00 (DOQ and Art or Auction Experience)
Expected Hours per Week: 30 to 35.
Overview:
The Aspen Art Museum is seeking two enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our Development team as ArtCrush Auction Sales Assistants for a short-term internship during ArtCrush, the Museum's largest annual fundraising event. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in high-end art sales and event execution while working closely with collectors, curators, and development professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist prospective bidders and visitors with inquiries related to the ArtCrush auction, both in person and via email or phone
  • Provide exceptional hospitality and support to guests throughout the auction preview period
  • Stay informed about each artwork in the auction, helping guide guests through the bidding process and sharing relevant background and artist information
  • Maintain clear, accurate records of inquiries and bidder interest
  • Support the Development and Auction teams during live and silent auction events
  • Help ensure a smooth, elegant, and professional guest experience at all times

Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, public-facing environment
  • A friendly, team-oriented attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Interest in contemporary art and/or prior experience in retail, hospitality, or sales is a plus
  • Must be available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and evenings during ArtCrush week (July 10 - August 3)
