Job description

Imagine One Technology & Management, Ltd. is seeking a Marine Corps Validator, contingent upon award of the associated work. This position will be based in Charleston, SC.

The Marine Corps Validator is responsible for independently validating Marine Corps Business Information Systems (BIS) on behalf of the Marine Corps Service Security Control Assessor in accordance with the Marine Corps Assessment and Authorization Process (MCAAP). The Validator develops and executes test procedures, documents system security posture, and produces required validation artifacts within MCCAST.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform independent validation of Marine Corps Business Information Systems in accordance with MCAAP.
  • Develop appropriate test procedures and execute validation activities.
  • Document system security posture within Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation Support Tool (MCCAST).
  • Generate DISA STIG Viewer checklist files for required STIG and SRG implementations
  • Provide Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scan result files.
  • Develop and submit Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) documentation.
  • Generate and submit complete Security Assessment Reports (SAR).
  • Conduct validation kickoff and close-out meetings with the ISSM and stakeholders.
  • Provide weekly validation status reports.
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to cybersecurity personnel and Security Control Assessor analysts.

Desired Experience:

  • 5+ years creating and maintaining DoD Assessment and Authorization packages based upon the NIST Risk Management Framework.
  • 2+ years validating Marine Corps Assessment and Authorization packages in accordance with MCAAP.
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps or DoD enterprise cybersecurity environments.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and coordinate across cybersecurity organizations.

Minimum Certifications:

  • Designated Marine Corps Validator by the Marine Corps Service Security Control Assessor (mandatory).

Security Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Active Secret clearance required.
