Role Overview

The Supply Chain (Global Sourcing) Associate Intern supports supply chain and procurement teams with project-based sourcing activities. This role provides hands-on exposure to procurement processes, supplier management, and supply chain operations while supporting on-time delivery of materials and equipment required to meet project schedules at the lowest total cost. The position also leads efforts, collaborates with leadership, and provides strategic oversight to ensure efficiencies. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Support procurement activities including Requests for Quote (RFQ), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and sourcing for Auxiliary and Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment.
  • Assist with supplier evaluation, qualification, and performance reviews related to quality, delivery, and reliability. 
  • Support contract review, negotiation preparation, and verification of vendor compliance with contractual requirements. 
  • Maintain procurement records including purchases, costs, delivery schedules, product quality, and performance metrics. 
  • Assist with problem resolution related to defective materials, supplier performance issues, and procurement challenges. 
  • Support major procurement activities, data analysis, and reporting to leadership to meet project and corporate objectives. 
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled as a college undergraduate pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field program at a four-year college or university.
  • Basic understanding of procurement, sourcing, or supply chain principles with interest in global sourcing operations. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop documentation and present information effectively. 
  • Ability to analyze data, perform basic mathematical calculations, and apply problemsolving techniques.
  • Effective organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a project environment. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and electronic mail.
