JOB SUMMARY:

The intern will assist with the collection of data and assigned studies, provide supervised input to assigned documents and databases, learn about different aspects of the organization while partnering with different departments on projects, assist with document management practices, and complete assigned office tasks. While in this role, the intern will:

  • Develop an understanding of the data and information used to support UDX's Destinations globally
  • Develop an understanding of document, data, and change management systems
  • Develop an awareness of operational safety and design standards, ADA, ASTM standards, and Universal standards
  • Develop a basic understanding of the responsibilities necessary to create training and operational documents
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the department with collection of international park programming materials; create spreadsheets and produce other documents in support of these collected materials; and assist with the maintenance and upkeep of documents in their respective systems
  • Maintain databases by entering new data and migrating data in accordance with system processes, validating data as applicable
  • Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedures and other documents based on established policies and practices
  • Perform in-park research to include taking photos and measurements, etc.
  • Assist with operational safety projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proficiency or familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint preferred
  • Ability to write and edit procedural or technical documentation preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Adobe, or additional computer software experience preferred
  • Prior experience in data management and theme parks preferred
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required. 
  • A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Preferred majors include: Hospitality Management, Technical or Business Writing, Theme Park and Attraction Management, Information Management, Business or similar.

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
