BGM Financial Planning Experience
Bloomington, MN | Tuesday, August 4 | 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Join us on August 4, 2026 for our Financial Planning Experience! BGM's Financial Planning Experience is a local leadership program designed for students who have not yet been through the internship recruiting process, have approximately two years remaining of their education, and are interested in pursuing a career in financial planning and wealth management.
This half-day program gives you the chance to explore your interests in a career in financial planning within a small RIA / boutique advisory environment. The Financial Planning Experience not only provides insight into the culture and career opportunities at BGM but also offers a forum to showcase your strengths and abilities through networking and interactive, team-based activities.
You can also expect to gain exposure to real client scenarios while participating in a hands-on case study experience, connect with firm leadership, access developmental insights, and network with BGM professionals and other top candidates in your field. This program is intended to be informative and engaging!
Most importantly, you'll receive answers to your questions about life at BGM, learn more about career paths in financial planning, and have the opportunity to be considered for future internship opportunities.

To be eligible, students must:
  • Be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Financial Planning, Finance, or a related field
  • Be of Sophomore or Junior status
  • Have an interest in financial planning, wealth management, or advising
  • Be internally and academically motivated
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • Be both customer service and team-oriented

Participants:
