THE JOB / Account Trainee (Sponsorships)(B2B Client)
CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon's client business and day-to-day management of client programs.
We're looking for a motivated and driven Account Trainee to support the day-to-day management and execution of clients' title-sponsored endurance events. This entry-level position provides an exciting opportunity to assist in the planning, management and execution of sports partnerships across the endurance landscape. The ideal candidate will have an interest in sports, entertainment, gaming, music, or celebrity and lifestyle culture and demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting the team. With responsibilities that include oversight of event documentation, reporting and measurement, and on-site support, this role offers an excellent foundation for professional growth within the dynamic world of sponsorships and partnerships. The position requires a team-oriented mindset, with the ability to take the initiative and solve problems independently as needed.
THE WORK YOU'LL DO
Support the account team in the day-to-day execution and management for client endurance sponsorship portfolio under the guidance of the account team
Support data allocation, tracking and measurement for client portfolio of events on a global scale
Assist with the organization and tracking of sponsorship assets and talent/ambassador utilization as needed
Support the creation of reports, presentations, and documents, including but not limited to post-event reports, event briefs, staffing schedules, and activation plans
Help manage weekly project plans and share comprehensive notes from weekly calls as assigned
Assist with event and industry research requests upon client request
Support finance administration including budget management, invoices & PO processing and maintaining accurate and up to date financial records
Aid in various other administrative tasks as requested
Provide on-site support leading up to and during the TCS New York City Marathon and other events as needed

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of experience
Some experience or internship in account management or client services, ideally within sports, entertainment, or related industries
A strong work ethic and the initiative to proactively support team efforts and take on new tasks
A genuine interest in and enthusiasm for sports, entertainment, gaming, music, or celebrity and lifestyle culture
Knowledge or experience of running and endurance space preferred, though not required
A self-starter with a willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment
An eagerness to assist in creating high-quality work and reports, with a keen eye for detail
Ability to handle basic administrative tasks and support multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize effectively
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
A positive, proactive attitude, and the ability to contribute to team efforts with a "no job is too small" mentality
Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel: Low (0-15%)
This position pays minimum wage and is overtime-eligible.
