Title: 24-00596 - BOM & Engineering Change Management Specialist - Automotive


Job Summary

We are seeking a BOM & Engineering Change Management Specialist to support and optimize Electronic Bill of Material (EBOM) and Engineering Change Management processes across multiple regions and functional teams. This role will serve as a subject matter expert for BOM structures, change control processes, and PLM/PDM systems while providing technical guidance and process support to engineering and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Electronic Bills of Material (EBOM) and Engineering Change processes.
  • Coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and related documentation.
  • Support process improvements and standardization across engineering and industrial functions.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of product data within PLM/PDM systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and program teams to implement product changes.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support related to BOM and change management processes.
  • Assist with system optimization, process documentation, and workflow improvements.
  • Monitor and resolve BOM discrepancies, change control issues, and data management concerns.
  • Support global teams with configuration management and product release activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience with Bill of Material (BOM) management and Engineering Change processes.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and configuration management.
  • Experience with PLM/PDM systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia, SAP, or similar tools.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) processes.
  • Experience supporting global engineering or manufacturing teams.
  • Process improvement or project coordination experience.
