Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Project Information Specialist to join our Flood Risk Solutions team in Arlington, VA. This is an in-office position. The appropriately qualified applicant will assist in processing FEMA (Conditional) Letter of Map Revision Requests.

This position is expected to begin as soon as possible.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Mailing and archiving of MT-2 final determination letters (102s and 104s) and attachments and, Final Base Flood Elevation letters(116s) to communities.
  • Publishing new BFE notices in local newspapers and procuring affidavits.
  • Preparing, submitting and coordinating Interim and Final rule dockets for Federal Register publications.
  • Any other post processing activity assigned by manager. 
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Environmental Science or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or relevant experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal Communication skills.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience coordinating with internal and external team members.
  • Knowledge of FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program and MT-2 post-processing workflow desired but not required.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • This position requires an in-person presence at AECOM’s Arlington office during normal business hours Monday through Friday.
