Job description

Job Description:

The scale clerk supports the movement of grain though Ag Valley's elevator system.

Job Duties:

Operate scale weighing both inbound and outbound trucks, Sampling, grading, and testing grain, Operating scale computers, printing and filing tickets, directing customers to proper dumping stations, communicate with elevator staff on types and quality of grain received, Front line customer service duties.

Education/Experience:

Basic math, computer, and organizational skills essential; Excellent communication and customer service skills required; Attention to detail, Accurate data entry skills, Ability to work in close proximity to grain and grain dust; job requires employees to be on their feet in a fast-paced environment; Applicant should be able to work extended harvest hours.
