Pay Range: $28-$36 per hour (DOE), FLSA non-exempt (overtime eligible).

Here's a deeper dive into your responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination & Execution
    • Learn, follow, and promote the company's safety and quality protocols.
    • Participate in the creation and response to RFIs.
    • Assist in the preparation and update of the project schedule, including co-creating look-ahead plans with the Project Manager.
    • Interface and coordinate with designers; provide constructability advice regarding electrical design.
    • Work with construction and design professionals in the main office and on the job site.
    • Provide permit procurement assistance.
    • Assist project managers with the coordination, review, and approval of project shop drawings and submittals in conjunction with project specifications.
    • Assist with estimating takeoffs.
    • Maintain as-built documents.
    • Oversee daily electrical operations at assigned job sites, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards.
  • Relationship Management
    • Maintain proactive and positive relationships within the crafts, including shop and field craft personnel, as well as supervise coworkers.
    • Maintain proactive and positive relationships with customer representatives, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, safety, CAD/BIM, accounting, and IT.
    • Serve as a liaison with owner representatives and internal teams.
  • Financial & Administrative Oversight
    • Assist with monitoring project costs and change orders in collaboration with the Project Manager.
    • Assist with monthly invoice updates.
    • Manage project documentation (RFIs, change orders, submittals) to ensure alignment with specifications.
  • Safety & Quality Leadership
    • Promote JH Kelly's safety and quality protocols.
    • Coordinate with designers to ensure practical, efficient, and code-compliant electrical designs.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support project success.
What You Bring
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in the electrical industry. Preferred: Experience in electrical design, industrial controls, the electrical construction process, and the NEC. Internship with industry-related professional firms may be considered as work experience.
  • Education:  A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.
    • Fully proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam, with intermediate skills in Excel.
    • Preferred: CAD experience.
    • Ability to work and adapt under pressure.

Physical Requirements
This role requires transitioning between office and construction field settings. In the office, you'll sit for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks like typing and communicating by phone. In the field, you'll stand and walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs, kneel, crouch, crawl to inspect tight spaces, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds. Good vision and hearing are essential for reading plans and on-site communication. You'll work outdoors in various weather conditions, adhere to site-specific dress codes, and wear PPE (hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots). Flexibility to travel and work outside regular hours is required. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
