Summary
Redwire Space, Inc. ha a current opportunity for an Accounting Intern at our facility in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role you will get exposure to the accounting side of payroll by supporting some of the regular payroll functions that maintain compliance, regulations and policies. Work assignments are received from a professional supervisor who defines the scope of the work to be preformed.
Responsibilities
  • Exposure to payroll weekly processes "end-to-end"
  • Preparation of payroll general ledger account reconciliations
  • Preparation of correcting payroll journal entries
  • Assists Payroll team with month end close journal entries
  • Learn to run weekly reports in Paycor payroll module
  • Other daily duties include but are not limited to assisting the finance and payroll team in performing various duties including daily operations, research, and maintaining records. This shall include scanning, emailing, and organizing documents for record keeping.
Ideal Experience
  • A rising junior or higher is currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited university and pursuing a degree in accounting or finance
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge
  • Knowledgeable in basic accounting principles

  • Candidate willing to work part-time throughout the school year and full-time during the summer months (working up to 20 hours per week during spring/fall and up to 40 hours during the summer)
