Job description

Title: Graphics Engineer - Intermediate

Clearance Type: Secret

Scope: Solid understanding of design principles and software, capable of independently developing and executing visual concepts for marketing materials, branding campaigns, and websites, while collaborating with senior designers on larger projects, demonstrating strong design skills to bring concepts from brief to completion with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Assist in creating graphics and visual elements for motion video, animations, digital media and print products, under the guidance of senior graphics staff.
  • Support the development of graphics materials for events, conferences, and meetings, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Produce illustrations, drawings, and other artwork as directed to enhance communications materials.
  • Assist in providing photographs, charts, diagrams, maps, slides, and other visual assets for informational and briefing purposes.
  • Provide support in the preparation and presentation of awards, including tasks such as matting and framing.
  • Able to prepare and use photographs, illustrations, drawings, other artwork, charts, diagrams, dioramas, maps, slides, overlays, and other kinds of visual material for use in communicating information through visual means.
  • Provides input to report and graphic standards of the customer and provides intermediate technical support.
  • Possesses knowledge of multiple PC and Macintosh application packages including word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and drawing packages.
  • Knowledge of photography techniques, including proficiency with photo editing software and camera equipment.
  • Proficiency in industry standard design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
  • Ability to work with vendors and consultants for quotes on services and subcontractors or service providers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree - Graphics design, computer information systems, Commercial art, fine arts, art history, industrial design, architecture, drafting, interior design, photography, visual communication, or other fields related to the position.
  • A minimum four years’ (4) experience in the field of graphics and design relevant experience is required.
  • Can be substituted with an Associate's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in the field of graphics and design. Additional years’ experience can substitute for field of study.
