INTERNSHIP COACH
Program: Nazareth Prep
Reports to: Student Achievement Manager
Hours: Full-time, 12 Months, non-exempt. Must allow flexibility according to the needs of the program. May include evenings and weekends for special events.
Location: Emsworth campus

Essential Duties:
Nazareth Prep is seeking a full-time Internship Coach to coordinate student success at their internships. The Internship Coach will monitor student performance during their off-site corporate internships, interact with student mentors, and maintain good communication internally (students, faculty and staff) and externally (parents and mentors). The Internship Coach will identify opportunities for student improvement or recognition, and work with the Student Achievement Manager to develop plans of correction when necessary, and support graduating seniors by helping them maximize their internship experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Understand the values and mission of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, the Sisters role in furthering the social teachings of the Catholic Church and embody an appreciation of their work with children and families in the world.
  • Understand and implement the mission, philosophy, and values of HFI in everyday job-related activities.
  • Participate in special activities and functions of the agency.
  • Support the goals of Catholic education and the mission of Nazareth Prep.
  • Build strong relationships with students, by being a model of conduct and offering guidance as they are introduced to professional settings.
  • Establish relationships with professionals acting as the students’ mentors at various workplaces to ensure student and relationship success.
  • Resolve complaints and issues regarding student behavior efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct site visits in accordance with Department of Labor requirements for safety and supervision.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to students based on observations and partner feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to grow relationships with existing internship partners.
  • Create and implement work related skill improvement plans and professional development for students as necessary.
  • Assist with data entry, data tracking, scheduling, and operational management.
  • Communicate regularly regarding student performance and mentor needs.
  • Coordinate projects and assist with activities in support of the overall Internship Program’s goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or high school diploma/equivalent and 1 year experience in a professional or educational setting.
  • Administrative management experience is a plus.
  • Must have or obtain Act 33/34 and education FBI clearances.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for working with and mentoring youth of all faiths and backgrounds.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
  • Strong attention to detail, substantial organizational and analytical ability.
  • Computer skills include Google and Windows office products.
  • Knowledge of office machines, including copiers and fax machines.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and federal, state, and local standards
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly in person / on telephone.
