Overview

St. Catherine of Siena Hospital is a proud member of Catholic Health and has served the residents of the Smithtown area for more than 50 years. St. Catherine's is located on the north shore of Long Island in Smithtown. The campus is comprised of a 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. Job Details

Responsibilities: Assessing patients' nutritional status and intervening with appropriate medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and/or diet education to improve, Maintaining or optimizing nutrition status and documents in the electronic medical record. Participating in interdisciplinary rounds and various committee meetings. Assisting in the orientation and training of new employees and participates in clinical education of dietetic interns from clinical affiliates

Requirements: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, pro-active and customer-service focused 2-3 years clinical experience preferred Experience with EPIC/CBORD preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics required; Master's Degree and/or advanced certification in nutrition preferred Must have completed a post graduate supervised, Commission on Dietetics Registration approved dietetic internship program and successfully passed the National Registration Examination for Dietitians to become a Registered Dietitian (RD)

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
