What does an international transportation manager do?

An International Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the movement of goods across international borders. They coordinate logistics, manage shipping schedules, ensure compliance with international trade regulations, and negotiate contracts with carriers and freight forwarders. Their goal is to optimize transportation costs, ensure timely deliveries, and resolve any issues that arise during international shipments. This role requires strong knowledge of customs laws, global supply chains, and transportation management systems.
