  • Guarantee, not just in our gear, but in how we show up for our customers, our community, and each other.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop technical apparel from concept through production while ensuring products align with Eberlestock's brand standards and product strategy

  • Create and maintain detailed technical packages including garment specifications, construction details, bill of materials, measurement specifications, grading, and fit comments

  • Specify technical fabrics, trims, insulation, waterproof technologies, and garment components based on intended product performance

  • Develop apparel systems that balance comfort, durability, weather protection, mobility, weight, and packability

  • Design garments that integrate effectively with backpacks, load carriage systems, optics, and other technical equipment

  • Lead garment fit sessions and document revisions to ensure consistent fit, comfort, and performance across all size ranges

  • Collaborate with domestic and overseas manufacturing partners to communicate design intent, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure quality standards are maintained

  • Coordinate prototype evaluations and incorporate feedback from field testing, athletes, ambassadors, and internal stakeholders into future product revisions

  • Monitor product quality throughout development and production while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Maintain project timelines and ensure deliverables are completed according to seasonal product development calendars

  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging materials, manufacturing technologies, and competitor products to support continued product innovation

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Apparel Design, Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Product Development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

  • 3+ years of experience in technical apparel design, product development, or apparel engineering

  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, grading, fit development, and manufacturing processes

  • Experience creating technical packages using Adobe Illustrator or similar design software

  • Working knowledge of performance fabrics, waterproof technologies, insulation systems, and garment construction techniques

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple development projects simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and international manufacturing partners

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality

  • Experience designing hunting, tactical, military, backpacking, mountaineering, or outdoor performance apparel

  • Ability to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally, including visits to manufacturing partners, field testing events, and other business-related activities

Benefit Offerings:

  • Generous tiered PTO allowance with an initial accrual level of 12 days annually
