As an International Purchasing Coordinator, you will own and manage a shared outlook inbox for order expediting and supplier follow up for locally sourced merchandise, and gift cards. You will work daily with suppliers and buyers to achieve the best quality, and delivery of products and/or services for O.C. Tanner and our clients. You will own various purchasing processes and drive improvements to hold suppliers accountable to SLAs.
Including:
  • Work for the best interest of O.C. Tanner and our clients' global needs.
  • Respond to clients, recipients, and internal queries in a kind and efficient manner.
  • Work with buyers to create and maintain best practices and lean processes.
  • Work with buyers to improve supplier turn-around time and responsiveness.
  • Help monitor supplier performance data to realize successes and forecast trends.
  • Collaborates and discovers improvements that lead to more efficient purchasing processes and systems.
  • Works well cross functionally and internationally with other teams.
  • Support buyers and clients in providing ethical purchasing practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Strong interpersonal communication ability both written and verbal.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) experience preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in purchasing or related field preferred.
  • Understanding of supply and demand with a goal of delivering client needs while satisfying O.C. Tanner goals and strategies.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, and Microsoft Office suite preferred.
  • Experience with tracking and using data.

Skills:
  • Understanding of O.C. Tanner strategic purchasing goals with the ability to help our suppliers fulfill awards globally.
  • Collaboration and partnership with team members, departments, etc. will be needed.
  • Good communication skills at all levels and through all mediums.
  • Ability to input and filter spreadsheets.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Continuous improvement and growth mindset.

Schedule:
  • Hybrid Schedule: (Mon-Wed: In-office) and (Thu-Fri: Optional Remote)
