Job Description

The Business Development (BD) Coordinator is an integral part of the Marketing & Business Development (MBD) Team and the business development/proposal process. The BD Coordinator will provide administrative and strategic support to the Senior BD Coordinator(s) and MBD Manager by proactively assisting in all aspects of the proposal/business development process such as research on priority anticipated solicitations, key prospects, clients and market analysis, and at both the pre-bid and live proposal stage, support the preparation, editing, and assembling processes for responses. The position is fully on-site and reports to the company's headquarters office in Rockville, MD.  There are no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Coordinating with MBD Team members and technical experts on preparing different components of the proposals and EOIs.
  • CV formatting/editing as per project team/management request. Ensure that all documentation formatting complies with RFP requirements.
  • Assist with proposal/response development and drafting of non-technical materials as assigned.
  • Assist proposal/project team to prepare submissions including formatting, editing, developing spreadsheets, printing & production as required.
  • Preparation of required Standard Forms (ex. SF330) for response/proposal submissions as needed.
  • Preparation of capability statements and "capes" decks for a variety of opportunities for one or multiple technical areas (transport, WASH, vertical structures, climate resilient infrastructure).
  • Perform market research and analysis on prospects and clients for assigned regions and/or clients, or specific opportunities.
  • Assist with implementation, utilization and upkeep of opportunity tracking tool(s).
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ensure updated and accurate file management including:
    • Transferring data from paper formats via computer, recorders, or scanners.
    • Correcting and modifying inaccurate files and records.
    • Organizing paper formats, paper backups and material source files as needed.
    • Other duties as required.

Qualifications
  • BA degree in international development, international relations, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Business Development and/or proposal development; experience supporting international development, U.S. Federal, and/or domestic public-sector opportunities preferred.
  • Experience in the A&E sector is a strong plus.
  • Communicates clearly, effectively and respectfully both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong writing and editing skills are required.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail.
  • Customer service-oriented attitude and strong research skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new and/or unplanned situations to meet the dynamic needs of the company.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel; familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
Additional Information

Proposed Salary: $60-80k annual, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
