What are internal sales?

Internal sales, also known as inside sales, refers to the process of selling products or services remotely, typically from an office environment, rather than in person. Internal sales representatives use phone calls, emails, and online meetings to communicate with clients, generate leads, and close deals. They often work closely with external sales teams to support customer needs and drive business growth. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge, and the ability to build relationships remotely.

What does an internal sales person do?

An internal sales person is responsible for selling products or services primarily through phone, email, or online communication rather than face-to-face interactions. They handle customer inquiries, process orders, provide product information, and support the sales team to meet revenue targets, often using customer relationship management (CRM) tools. Strong communication skills and product knowledge are essential for success in this role.
