Job description

As an Operations Manager you are regarded as a leader and responsible for the effective implementation of all initiatives that include safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale through effective leadership. This includes effectively leading personnel whether direct or indirect reports to improve all initiatives while coordinating with all personnel as necessary, to achieve desired outcomes.

You are required to use written and oral skills to develop, coordinate, implement, and enforce all policies and procedures that impact key metrics to improve the overall performance of all aspects of the plant. You must be able to work with others, in sometimes difficult situations, to achieve results that improve the plantsโ€™ position to better serve the business. You must coach, motivate, and ensure that the employees in your area of responsibility are performing at an optimal level to achieve the expected results as given by the leadership team.

This includes all listed responsibilities below and any additional tasks assigned to you by the leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

  • Improve overall safety culture and initiate continuous improvement initiatives to improve employee engagement and plant KPIโ€™s.
  • Coordinate and implement all quality initiatives to improve overall quality Key Performance Indicators within the plant.
  • Coordinate and improve all goods movements through leadership and Amtech.
  • Maintain and coordinate files and reports to effectively generate reports and data analysis to improve the plantsโ€™ performance.
  • Effectively lead people improve plants KPIโ€™s.
  • Effectively lead people to improve plant performance while providing the required training as outlined in plants requirements.
  • Ability to lead personnel and hold others accountable while maintaining professionalism.
  • Ability to learn, understand and teach the extrusion and converting processes in your plant.
  • Provide excellent customer services skills, including consistently displaying awareness and sensitivity to the needs of internal and/or external clients. Proactively ensuring that these needs are met or exceeded.
  • Take personal responsibility for personal growth including acquiring new skills, knowledge, and information.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent in a technical role.
  • 5 years of experience of manufacturing leadership with direct reports.
  • 3-5 years of leadership evaluation process.
  • Provide examples of effectively implementing a Continuous Improvement initiative that impacts KPIโ€™s.
  • Demonstrates passion for the business and his/her role; espouses a collaborative approach; leads by example in setting a positive tone.
  • Cultivates an active network of internal and external relationships and relates well to key colleagues at all levels.
  • Holds oneself to the highest standards of accountability; has the ability and willingness to drive change while maintaining operating effectiveness; integrates and aligns efforts across all corporate functions and business units; monitors results; tackles problems directly.
