Job description

SUMMER INTERNSHIP

Daikin offers a well-established 11-week summer internship program where students contribute to meaningful projects. We emphasize a culture of mentorship, training, and collaboration, encouraging interns to ask questions, challenge ideas, and think creatively. Interns gain valuable hands-on experience in a thriving industry with strong opportunities for growth and development.

During the internship, college students will:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must not require sponsorship now or in the future 
  • Graduation Dates: December 2027 - May 2029
  • Be at least 18 years of age

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project Management intern will be assisting the Project Management Office to identify, develop, and implement business process improvements companywide. The Project Management intern will utilize data and analytical skills to help provide useful insights that will meet Daikin project delivery goals. This position will also support analysts, schedulers, and project managers with the implementation of PWA processes to be used throughout the New Product Development (NPD) project life cycle.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist senior project managers in developing project plans and schedules for IT initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout project lifecycles.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and propose solutions to maintain project timelines.
  • Support data analysis and reporting efforts to provide insights into project performance and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of project documentation, including requirements, specifications, and progress reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas to enhance project efficiency and overall IT processes.
