We're hiring a Recruiting Intern to support our Head of People during a period of active growth. You'll spend the majority of your time building and managing talent pools across a range of roles while also owning the intern recruiting process at Leland from end to end. You'll interact directly with members of our leadership team and get an honest look at what it takes to hire well at a growth-stage startup.

This is a great fit for someone who is organized, articulate, and genuinely interested in building high-performing teams. You will report directly to Dalton Brough, Head of People.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain talent pools to support active searches across the business

  • Own the intern recruiting process end-to-end -- sourcing, screening, and managing the candidate experience

  • Serve as a talent scout for your university, building a network of ambitious students and connecting the best ones to opportunities at Leland

  • Represent Leland on campus and build relationships that feed our early-career pipeline

  • Learn and work in our recruiting and HR systems, including Ashby, Gusto, and Slack

  • Use AI tools (Claude, n8n) to automate repeatable tasks and improve workflows

  • Support office management, event planning, and employee engagement initiatives

  • Assist with People Operations projects as needs arise

What We're Looking For
  • Experience in recruiting, sales or other customer-facing position preferred, ideally in a startup environment

  • Currently pursuing a business degree (or related field), with an expected graduation date of 2027 or 2028

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Natural communicator with skills in sales, persuasion, and executive presence; you'll interact with hiring managers and candidates daily

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities

  • Capable of utilizing AI to automate repeatable work

  • Clear, professional communication, both written and verbal

  • Available to work in-person in Lehi, UT for 40 hours/week during summer and 20+ hours/week during fall/spring semesters
