JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Intern - Mechanical Engineering
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Location: Beverly, MA

About the Role
What You'll Do
  • Under direct supervision, the Intern will work on a multi-discipline team of Engineers to support diverse types of project work in support of Semiconductor Capital Equipment.
  • Project types may include research and development, new product development or continuous improvement.
  • Use analytical skills learned in school to solve technical engineering problems.
  • Create engineering drawings and bills of materials.
  • Use 3D CAD to complete design tasks.
  • Participate in design reviews with other engineers.
  • Supports the department with any necessary technical testing or documentation work.
  • Use rapid prototyping processes to qualify and iterate on designs quickly.

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE
$20.00 - $30.00
This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.
Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on
multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work
location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as
you develop within the role.
Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the
Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular
employees working 20+ hours a week).
