Job description

Position Summary

The Hotel Operations Intern will gain hands-on experience in hotel operations by rotating through multiple operational departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Guest Services. This short-term internship is designed to provide exposure to daily hotel operations while developing hospitality knowledge, guest service skills, and an understanding of operational excellence.

The intern will observe, assist, and participate in departmental activities under the guidance of experienced leaders while maintaining Hilton and Shaner service standards.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Shadow department leaders and team members throughout assigned operational areas.
  • Assist with daily operational tasks under supervision.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service by maintaining a positive, professional, and welcoming attitude.
  • Learn hotel policies, procedures, and brand standards.
  • Observe and support Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and other operational departments as assigned.
  • Participate in department meetings, training sessions, and learning activities.
  • Maintain guest confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Follow all safety, security, and sanitation procedures.
  • Complete assigned projects, observations, or presentations as part of the internship experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or related educational program.
  • Strong interest in the hospitality industry.
