REPORTS TO: Golf Course Superintendent

STATUS: Hourly

Legends Golf Resort offers five of the best championship golf courses available in Myrtle Beach and the surrounding states of South Carolina and North Carolina.

Centrally located just off Highway 501 in Myrtle Beach, the Heathland, Moorland, and Parkland courses are nestled within the Scottish-inspired Legends Golf Resort facility. Oyster Bay Golf Links is on the northern end of Myrtle Beachโ€™s Grand Strand in Sunset Beach, N.C., while The Heritage Club is on the southern end in Pawleys Island, S.C. Although their addresses indicate covering two states (North and South Carolina) the courses are all within the Myrtle Beach grand strand.

In 2005, several of the partners came together to realize a long-desired dream and created Century Golf Partners; a golf investment and management company. In the same year, the company also acquired the exclusive worldwide rights to the Arnold Palmer Golf Management brand and accordingly, Century Golf Partners operates many of its clubs under the Arnold Palmer Golf Management name.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Currently studying agronomy, turfgrass management or a similar degree.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The golf course agronomy intern is responsible for learning the agronomics to produce playing conditions outlined in the courseโ€™s business plan. This person will help develop talent at all levels of golf course maintenance to create a highly functional team. This individual will also focus on the business of agronomy, technology, continuing education and long term strategic planning.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • 1-year turfgrass management experience required.
  • Currently learning about agronomy and turfgrass management practices with the ability to teach others.
  • A strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business.
