Description The Business Operations Intern will support the Business Operations team in the coordination, analysis, and execution of key commercial and operational activities. Working closely with cross-functional partners, the intern will assist with data organization, reporting, process documentation, and day-to-day team support to help improve visibility, efficiency, and execution across the department. This role provides exposure to business operations in a fast-paced biopharmaceutical environment, including experience with reporting tools, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. We're thrilled to provide a 10-week paid internship at our facility in Tustin, CA. As an intern, you'll dive deep into our team culture, take on significant projects, and play a vital role in our team's dynamics. This full-time, 40-hour per week office position is designed to offer you a wealth of experience and the chance to connect with professionals in the industry. Key Responsibilities: Executed Contract Database Management
  • Support the development and maintenance of a centralized database for executed client contracts, including MSAs, work statements, change orders, and related documents.
  • Organize contract files, naming conventions, metadata, and supporting references to improve accessibility, consistency, and version control.
  • Assist with preparing contract records and document repositories to support future quick access and analysis through AI-enabled tools.
Salesforce Data, Reporting, and Dashboard Support
  • Assist with Salesforce data entry and ongoing data maintenance to support accurate opportunity, client, and pipeline records.
  • Help create and update reports and dashboards that improve visibility in pipeline activity, commercial metrics, and team performance.
  • Support efforts to streamline pipeline reporting by improving system-based reporting and reducing reliance on manual data extracts.
Proposal Automation and AI Enablement
  • Support the exploration of automated proposal drafting tools and help evaluate opportunities to improve proposal development efficiency.
  • Assist in gathering, organizing, and structuring content inputs that could support the development of an AI agent for first draft proposal generation.
  • Document workflows, requirements, and improvement ideas related to proposal automation and other digital enablement initiatives.
Data, Metrics, and Cross Functional Support
  • Assist with data organization, validation, and analysis to support internal reporting, team priorities, and operational decision-making.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to gather updates, maintain trackers, and support follow-up on business operations action items.
  • Contribute to dashboard updates, KPI summaries, and other materials used for internal business reviews and leadership reporting.
Process Improvement and Documentation
  • Help document workflows, standard procedures, and team processes to improve consistency and scalability.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and supporting practical solutions.
Administrative and Organizational Support
  • Help organize shared folders, team resources, and documentation repositories used by the Business Operations team.
  • Support meeting preparation, notes, action item tracking, and other administrative tasks that help the team operate efficiently.
Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Life Sciences, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in business operations, commercial processes, systems, and process improvement within the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, especially when working with data, documents, and multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with collaboration platforms such as Teams and SharePoint.
  • Interest in data management, reporting, dashboards, or CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Interest in digital tools, automation, or AI-enabled solutions is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Availability to work full-time for the duration of the internship at our Tustin, CA facility.
  • Authorization to work in the country where the internship is located.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This role is a full-time position operating Monday through Friday, 5x8 (5 days x 8 hours) schedule. Internship to begin on Monday, June 15th and end on Friday, August 21st. What to Expect as an Avid Bio Intern:

Compensation: The compensation for this role is $20.00 per hour. Who you are:
